Class Description
Whatever you are writing or creating, your body is experiencing the emotions of what you are articulating on the page. In addition, while writing at your desk, computer, table top and the like, your body has morphed into different physical postures. Not all of which are good for you, or your creativity. The mental, emotional, intellectual, and physical gymnastics necessary to get words on the page can require a specific kind of self-care coordination and holistic wellness restoration. In this Wellness for Writers’ (and other creatives) workshop, you will learn how to: - Restore your body after participating in focused writing sessions. - Use your body to draw out as well as nourish your creative projects. - Have fun exploring accessible self-care techniques that will add to your writing. - Replenish your mind and body with simple holistic health strategies. - Develop personalized affirmations that support your health and writing. - Customize a self-care toolkit that you can use on a daily basis, anywhere and anytime.
